Humans are born free. When they grow up, they have to learn and realize a lot for their better living and progress. But in the process, they are not subservient to others, in any mode of oppression. Instead of moving forward, humankind is getting exploited and enslaved in many ways. The oppressor’s exercise has been in a very tactful manner, that can be summarized as:
Discriminate others; Divide them and make a mindset that they are destined for it. Their enslavement in whatever form is imposed as ‘divine dictum’ by the so called ‘almighty’; Trapped into this cunning net, the oppressed people used to accept that their enslavement is natural. The enslavement is ensured to endure by practicing rituals and ceremonies which are unquestionable. In the entire process, the oppressed are systematically denied certain vital needs of humans, like education.
Due to denial of education, the oppressed sections have become physically toiling masses.
This state of social, economic and political scenario prevailed all over the world but varied only in degrees. Many thinkers, progressive minded personalities, and activist – leaders were striving to eliminate the resultant inequalities of humans. They succeeded very little in their efforts that were not enough to fight against the magnificent evil. The lifelong efforts of equality – initiators are negligible compared to the centuries old inhuman condition that infiltrated humankind. They could not sustain their initiatives. Their slow efforts also disappeared after their life time. In the entire social exercise, the progressive icons bothered 0nly about just erasing or wiping out the discriminated inequality. They enabled the initiatives only against a few deeds of the oppressors. The root cause of this inhuman social evil was not even identified properly.
Covering half the distance of the journey was considered as the completion of the mission itself. All those so-called revolutionary measures got diluted and wiped out completely. They remain only in historical texts. No one came forward with sound ideological footings with a sincere strategic mode to accomplish the core of the ideological imperatives i.e., equality of humans and equal opportunities to all. The imposed evils have been existing for many centuries The fight against these evils has also been long lasting. The levels of oppressors and oppressed are not equal; the oppressors are privileged with historical advantages backed with Sanatanic scriptures. But the oppressed are devoid of support.
The oppressive practices were given a religious coat during modernization. They acquired the status of religious rights sanctioned by States as its statutes. Religious rights are advocated as dominant right over human rights. The oppressors have institutionalised their oppression; whereas the divided oppressed fight among themselves mutually. They forget the prevalence of the so called ‘supreme’ oppressor in a hierarchical way. This is the major advantage to the oppressors in the Indian sub-continent.
