No need to furnish details of caste

No need to furnish details of caste

Many gentlemen keep writing to us as to what reply is to be given if the census personnel ask us for details about our caste, and if it will not amount to a crime if we reply that we do not have any caste.

In this regard, Caste Eradication Association of Lahore have sent a petition to the Government of India and have received a reply from the government, which they have shared with us.

How Not to Be Extreme

How Not to Be Extreme

June 5, 2019

The government are very sympathetic towards caste eradication measures.  Yet, we cannot expect any benefit out of merely refraining from furnishing caste differences in the census.  Yet, there are people who do not mind caste distinction in matters of marriage and dining, and they have given up the very principle of caste.  If they inform the census enumerators that they do not have caste, it must be accepted by the enumerators and they must make a NIL entry in the column.

For the time being, this is enough for us.  Those who want to record that they do not have caste need not be afraid that they would be liable to any adverse reaction from the government.  We are giving this information to reassure them.

Those who are free from caste differences both in thought and deed, can boldly tell the enumerators that they have no caste.

Similarly when they are asked about religion they can boldly say that they have no religion.  If the enumerators insist that some reply has to be given they could say they belong to the Religion of Reason.

Hence there is no need for anybody to furnish the name of a religion or caste, contrary to facts and contrary to their own conviction just out of fear of the government.

Astrology and Gandhi’s Life Span

Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 and was shot dead by Marathi Brahmin Godse on 30th January 1948, his life span covering seventy eight years and a few months.

But do you know what V.K. Krishnamachariyar an astrologer of Tiruthani had said in Bharatha Devi Tamil daily dated 15th August 1947.

“Gandhi was born in Simha lagna, and Maka star.  Those born in Maka star are blessed with full life span.  So are those born in Simha lagna.  Since the lagna of his birth is Simha, moon is alone in it, and Guru is in the 10th place and is influencing Sun and Saturn, Mahatma will have the complete life span of 120 years.

“Further we learn through mythology that the ascetics of yore were able to increase their life span with penance and diet control.

Gandhi also with his diet regulation and prayers can increase his life span and live longer than the 120 years granted by astrology.

Let us pray to god for a long life for Gandhi.

This is what an astrologer said.  Did Gandhi live for 120 years? What better illustration do we require to show that astrology is a fraud?
