Realist: Sir, when was the Bible, considered to be the sacred book, written?
Preacher: Written in the olden times, by many prophets, the disciples of Christ and the Apostles who came later.
Realist: These people called prophets, they have at times had no fear of god, is that right?
Preacher: No, they have always had the fear of god.
Realist: Abraham was a prophet, Right?
Preacher: That is right. Yet, some researchers accuse him of having married his father’s second wife’s daughter.
Realist: I am not bothered about it. In the early days man would have been created through marrying one’s own sister.
Preacher: Then what is it you want to know about Abraham?
Realist: Is he really a prophet?
Preacher: Yes. In chapter 2 verse 7, of the Bible God himself has proclaimed him as a prophet.
Realist: The same Abraham has said in Ch 21, Verse 11, that there is no fear of god in this place. Have you read it?
Preacher: Yes, I have. But his wife Sarah was beautiful. He might have said it because of that.
Realist: If one’s wife is beautiful, one should be afraid of other men, and not of god, is that so?
Preacher: But it is in the Old Testament. Pay your attention to the New Testament.
Realist: I will do so. But your Bible was written by men like Abraham?
Preacher: These are godless days. (murmurs and leaves the place)
Realist: Your experience is that there are times without fear of god. But we are sure that what is needed is life without worrying about god.
