The RSS General Secretary has stated that ‘Socialist’ and ‘Secular,’ which are prominently placed in the Preamble of the Indian Constitution, should be removed. The aim of Hindutva proponents is to re-establish Manusmriti rule. We must create awareness about whether the country should be governed by human dharma or Manusmriti. The RSS organization has never wholeheartedly accepted the Indian Constitution from its inception till today!
The nation must understand that the actions of senior leaders within the RSS, including Prime Minister Modi and many others, as well as the oaths they took upon assuming ministerial positions, are clearly hypocritical and against the Constitution. The people are beginning to understand this.

Regarding this, Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, in a post released (27.06.2025) in New Delhi, clearly stated:
“The mask of the RSS organization has now fallen. The RSS organization and the BJP will never like the Constitution.
Equality, secularism, and social justice in the Constitution irritate them.
Their desire is to implement Manusmriti.
Their wish is to snatch the rights of the poor and oppressed people and enslave them again. The RSS will never stop dreaming this dream.
We will never allow the RSS to succeed in this,” he explicitly mentioned.
If the BJP had achieved the full majority they expected in the last parliamentary elections, they would have, by now, openly attempted all efforts to make Manusmriti the Constitution, disregarding parliamentary democracy.
However, since the current RSS-BJP government, led by Prime Minister Modi, is a minority government, it is not possible to implement this.
Nevertheless, they keep it as their hidden agenda, occasionally testing the waters.
RSS desires to undermine the Constitution
Dattatreya Hosabale, the General Secretary of the RSS, with the great efforts of Prime Minister Modi, has openly insisted that “a new constitution should be created; two of the important principles in the preamble of the current constitution must be removed.”
They are preparing to discard the words ‘Socialist’ – for an egalitarian society – and ‘Secular’ – for a secular state – and drag the country towards a ‘Hindu Rashtra,’ a Hindutva, Aryan, Manusmriti system!
This is being strongly opposed by Thanthai Periyar’s Dravidian movement, other left-wing progressive movements, and the current Indian National Congress.
What is happening in the country is not merely a political or electoral struggle!
Therefore, the struggle currently underway in our country is not merely a political or electoral competition.
Is it Manusmriti or Egalitarianism?
(Hindu) Religious fanatic rule or a secular rule?
To transform Tamil Nadu, they are attempting ‘Gajakarnam’ (political somersaults), intimidating and enticing many, and using tactics like ‘Sama, Bheda, Dhana, Danda’ (conciliation, division, donation, punishment) – the methods of Manusmriti and Aryan Panchatantra – to ensnare those who sell themselves, like Vibhishana, Prahlada, and Hanuman brigades, with the bait of electoral alliances!
In 2014, the RSS ideologues filed a case in the Supreme Court, “Balram Singh vs Union Government.”
The main objective of that case was to remove the two words ‘socialist’ and ‘secular’ from the Preamble of the Indian Constitution.
The Supreme Court flatly rejected it, stating firmly, “The 42nd Amendment to the Constitution is valid. As per the verdict in the S.R. Bommai case, both terms (‘socialist’, ‘secular’) must necessarily remain in the Constitution.” Despite this clear verdict, isn’t the secret behind the RSS’s continued insistence clear?
It is the Manusmriti mindset!
Because Thanthai Periyar’s philosophy and the Dravidian movement protect Periyar’s land like the eyelid protects the eye, the unparalleled ‘Dravidian Model’ government, under the leadership of its powerful Chief Minister, is performing exceptionally well – overcoming challenges, swimming through fire, and creating a history of achievements. Due to the DMK’s extraordinary leadership, and the political strategies and efficiency of its leader Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin, the Manusmriti-based rule is being prevented from sprouting here, like strong protective dams and rocks.
The ideological alliance has become a unique political weapon for this.
Therefore, the struggle of Manusmriti vs. Humanity is certain to break the backbone of the Manusmriti dream in the upcoming election next year!
Which should prevail?
Therefore, it is an essential duty to bring nationwide awareness to the question of which will prevail – and which should prevail. It is the vital duty of every progressive, every person who values humanity, and every person with deep faith in the philosophy of ‘Everything for Everyone’ to further strengthen the DMK alliance!
