The Governor of Tamil Nadu, Mr. R.N. Ravi has been time and again mocking at the Dravidian Model Government headed by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) by unwarranted criticism and intolerable disinformation. His harassment is of late exceeding its limit. By his slanderous comments he has been belittling the legislative assembly of Tamil Nadu. Ethics of Democracy are being thrown overboard by his unbridled vituperative remarks on several issues. It seems he is depicting an alternative Government like a self-appointed ruler, tormenting us almost every day. Receiving tax paying money of the common public as remuneration he has been functioning like the undeclared Propaganda Secretary of the RSS/ BJP. Undeniably he is tarnishing the image of his coveted gubernatorial post and position.
Transforming his Raj Bhavan like a habitat of brahmins called ‘Agraharam’, every day he keeps spreading baseless false information which are unadulterated white lies. Perhaps higher authorities are hand in glove with him and some business magnates in the corporate sector too are provoking him at the back. He may also be instigated by media barons. However, he seems to be receiving patronage from various sources that provide him with unpaid publicity. A leading Tamil Daily also exists as his authorised Gazette. Probably some elements are stealthily using him as their weapons.

A little known TV channel has been telecasting his interviews frequently. Perhaps this channel was begun by some elements during elections, with a hidden agenda. Through this channel the Governor has been airing his half-baked views continually like a cracked gramophone record that goes on playing on and on. He has been levying his often repeated charges on the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Dravidian Movement and the Dravidian Model rule in our state. Readers may please read them which are run off the mill babble. He keeps grinding the already ground flour.
He says –
“It is essentially Tamil exceptionalism. The Tamil people and Tamil Nadu are distinct from the rest of the country. They are distinct in the name of the race. They called the Dravidian separate race with separate language. Tamil language has nothing to do with any Indian language. And both these planks are essentially of European origin. Because it was the German Nazis who had given the race theory a boost. They were the ones who created this Aryan theory, Aryan invasion, etc.”
Is this acceptable? It tells us that the Governor’s views are shallow and shoddy, doesn’t it?
What does the 44th verse in the 10th chapter of Manusmriti say? “The Puṇḍrakas, the Coḍas, the Draviḍas, the Kāmbojas, the Yavanas, the Śākas, the Pāradas, the Pahlavas, the Cīnas, the Kirātas, the Daradas and the Khaśas were the nations ruled by ancient citizens. They have all been transformed as Sudhras”. Mr.R.N.Ravi should read this attentively.
Similarly, Dravidam exists even in the “Bhagavata Purana”. Is he aware of this? It is not said by us that Dravidam is different from Bharatam. It is infact said by Manusmriti itself. Was Manusmriti printed after the Nazi Hitler and the English men? As the prominent
propagandist of the R.S.S., Mr.R.N.Ravi should answer this question.
National Anthem is being played everywhere against his will. In the Anthem composed by Tagore we find the words – “Dravida Utkala Banga”. Is it the language of the British? How does the Bengal in the East say thus, linking several other states with it?
Were the ‘Dravidian Caldwell’ period and the Manusmriti period the same or whether one preceded the other? “Tamil language exists on its own; Eminent scholars have sung in praise of Tamil language.” The Revolutionary Poet Bharatidasan was one such scholar.
Is Sanskrit the oldest language? Did “Prakrit” exist long before Sanskrit or not? What does the word ‘Sanskrit’ actually mean? Its antiquity is not historically proven, but Tamil language is the oldest as per the history of languages.
A Hindi YouTube channel recently accused Tamil Nadu falsely that the Bihar labourers are being tortured here. Later this channel
tendered its apology. Has Mr.R.N.Ravi forgotten it? A Cabinet Minister of the Union Government also apologised for this baseless
charge. Is Mr.Ravi not aware of it?
The State of Tamil Nadu extended a warm welcome to all the social justice stalwarts of Bihar and to all those who respect and regard the Dravidian Movement founded by Periyar. Our State has been honouring all the Bihar leaders who supported us in the Mandal Commission issue, like B.P. Mandal, Jayaprakash Narayan, Karpuri Thakur, T.P. Yadav and Ram Vilas Paswan. Many prominent leaders of Bihar have been visiting our State and we have welcomed them at all times heartily. Lalu Prasad Yadav was extended special patronage by us. It was Tamil Nadu and the Dravidian Movement that welcomed his social justice principle. We can go
on citing many more examples. The list would be endless. It is the R.S.S. that is notorious for hate speech and contempt politics – not Tamil Nadu. It cannot be forgotten that the ’Swastika’ of Hitler’s Nazi army was at first the emblem of the R.S.S. Let Mr. Ravi tell us the leader of which religion met Mussolini, the Fascist Italian leader. Which outfit or forum did that particular leader belong to? Shall we reveal all these truths and let the cat out of the bag?
Ours is the land of Periyar. Here, ‘everything is for everyone’ since it is the soil of social justice. Disinformation and cheap political
games cannot take us for a ride. The masks of all the toxic forces would certainly be removed one day or the other to expose their true faces. Truth would always triumph on our land. Illusion, disguise, deceit and hypocrisy can never be long lasting. Their impermanence should be accepted by all the toxic forces. The Revolutionary Poet Bharatidasan was quite right when he wrote once thus:
“Every word is a drop of nectar
When one says – ‘I am a Dravidian’;
A Dravidian’s name and fame
Would rise even above the sky!”
Long live Dravidian ideology!
