The breakthrough in Information Technology has brought wide and speedy human contacts and even nonhuman contact in the form of Artificial Intelligence technique. Because of it there is a sea change in the communication, broadcasting, telecasting modes. People, instead of going out of house to get news and information are able to get them at their home reach. Organisational functioning, especially political parties and social organisations have to accommodate themselves to the changing environment.

‘Liberty Creations’ that produced feature films like “Periyar”, and “Puratchikaram” (Revolutionary) has entered into OTT for the first time, viz. Periyar Vision OTT. It is the first OTT for the cause of social justice in the world. The launch of Periyar Vision OTT was held on 20th July 2024 at Periyar Thidal, the headquarters of Dravidar Kazhagam, Chennai.
The inaugural event was presided over by Asiriyar Dr.K.Veeramani, President, Dravidar Kazhagam. Poet Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, Member of Parliament and the Deputy General Secretary of the DMK inaugurated the OTT formally in the presence of S. Sathyaraj, popular Rationalist Tamil Cine-actor (who performed the role of Periyar in the movie, produced by Liberty Creations), Gnana Rajasekaran, cine director and painting artist Maruthu Trotsky. V. Anburaj, Director, Liberty creations welcomed the gathering. Poet Kali. Poongundran, Vice President and V. Kumaresan, Treasurer, Dravidar Kazhagam, felicitated the launch of Periyar Vision OTT. The OTT comprises short films, video clippings, on the dissemination of Periyar ideology – Social Justice, including gender justice. Periyar movement was pioneer in the publication of ‘Viduthalai’, World’s only Rationalist Daily in electronic format since Sep.17th 1996.
Periyar predicted such development in science and technology while addressing a wedding in a Village near Cheyyaru 1936. The contents of the speech have been compiled and published both in Tamil (Inivarum Ulagam) and English (World to come) by the Periyar Self-Respect Propaganda Institution. The outreach of Periyar ideals would be much more wider with current dissemination with the core ideals through Periyar Vision OTT. Nominal charges have been levied to watch the OTT platform to increase subscribers. Periyar Vision OTT is a turning point in the annals of the propaganda of Periyar ideals.
